I challenge CNET and all the experienced techs in the industry to do a scientific analysis of this very common problem and find a resolution.

We all have a problem with Windows 7 64 bit throwing a Not Responding on various programs under various conditions. This is most likely due to Vistas new way of handling hardware which is very different from that of XP.   WARNING - This is not to be taken lightly - Check the HDD manufacturer for firmware updates and apply if available.
