Just like you they've been happening right from the start and there is no rhyme or reason to the freeze ups.This is my set-up: EVGA 790i Ultra motherboard Intel Q9450 processor There was one post in this thread that mentioned setting Power Options to High Performance, give that a shot. They are all SATA and I spread my programs, music, windows installs and games across various HDDs. I could be using a browser, trying to watch a DVD, checking my e-mail, working in Word or anything and the computer just stops responding. I disconnected my external hard drives for normal mode and it froze up. However, only do this if you are always actively searching for files. 1.
