Can someone help me? its not freezing up anymore. Stupid in hindsight I know, especially seeing as my PSU has a modular layout giving 4 12V rails. I did think it was a hardware problem at the time and tried various diagnostics on memory, CPU, hard drive.  I eventually found that running HD diagnostics while I was away Source
