un-installing that update update got it working again. Your simple little command took care of the problem immediately!! The internet explorer screen won't work either - says unable to load page. By this time I knew the site was definitely still online because I received an email from someone via the website.I then attempted to connect from a third (also XP) machine It worked for me. I just typed in resetlog.txt in the run window and clicked enter; tried the webpages and they both loaded. Check This Out You would think some Microsoft guy in India could post a network settings fix to this forum in about 5 minutes, not sure why that hasn't happened yet.
